Of the two I think Kate Ryan wins.
However its a difficult call... not because they are both the same level of stunning,,,, but because, to me, they are both equally skanky, self absorbed, fake, attention whores !
To me they actually both look retarded !!!! I mean properly backward !
But I accept it may just be my old git mind that interprets the 'sexy look to camera and pucker lips while closing eyes slowly' as THICK AS SH*T.

After watching the videos i wondered if there was something wrong with me that I was thinking they are really not that hot; both have something funny in their face and really i couldnt bring myself to watch/listen to the whole video.

I thought that men these days actually liked plastic women - botoxed with no expressions, fake boobs, trout pouts and hair extensions! My faith has been restored  There was I thinking it was just me getting all middle aged and sour at my fading yoof!
I actually look forward to Friday BBC Breakfast, as I think that Suzanne Reid is lovely too (I'm a heterosexual female, BTW)
I think Kate Silverton is very nice but she makes me go a bit crossed eyed watching her read the auto-cue

It's not that straight forward, as most young men also have bought into the "beauty myth". Think FHM etc. I think that, deep down, a lot of these kids don't really like the barbie look, however, years of cultural incalcation has taught them that they think they do! That sounds bizarre, I know. But it's kinda symbolic of manliness to express a desire for the symbolic feminine (large tits, etc): so for men to feel like "men" amongst their peers they convince themselves and then one another - that they love the look of the latest pop singer whore te marketeers are seling to them.
It's true, though, that women are their own worse enemies. Women willingly conspire in the "beauty myth". It's women who critisize the way other chicks look, much more so than men do. You will have seen this when out with a group of chicks: no end of criticism of how other women look. Women promote the exaggeration of femininity (plastic babie look) in cohort with one another, whilst real men with real wishes just sit back and laugh at the freaks that result (i.e. september above).
The falseness of the barbie look lies in not appreciating that femininity has limits. Femininity is sexy. But femininity doesn't increase with every single pound lost, or every cup gain: beyod a point, losing more weight takes you beyond the feminine into the phoney, another breast increase beyond the feminine into the freaky, etc.
However, women can't admit this to themselves. They are aligned to a logic of perpetual "beautification" that ends of producing comical spectacles. Women are condemned to dissatisfaction, mainly by conspiring with cultural messages, becuase only when they feel imperfect do they feel imperfected and hence big business can sel them the products (make up, expensive clthes) etc) through which they are promised a certain satisfaction of appearence that never comes... that only lasts until the next advert poiinting out their flaws (you've got spots) and the solution (buy our spot cream!)...
