Test time (Thursday 23rd@Bolton). UPDATE- PASSED!

Well, it's getting closer. Had a lesson today and my instructor and myself are both confident I can pass if I keep up the concentration.

My test is at Bolton on thursday morning, I just wondered if anyone on here has been around Bolton and could tell me anything to watch out for? I have been once before, but it was a while back.

Also, on the test is it ok to use bus lanes?

I will keep an eye out for the bus lane signs, my test is at 10:45.

Would it be a minor fault not using the lane or would it be a fail?

Hopefully I will get the same instructor I remember doing my car test a while back and the instructors there were really harsh and a bit intimidating (not@Bolton). I guess it will be a bit easier on a bike because you are on your own so to speak.

Relax, enjoy the ride. If you can, have a little pootle round the area for a few hours beforehand - at least try and get a couple of these in. I had a lesson immediately before my test which worked wonders for calming my nerves by getting me used to being observed and wearing a headset.

You'll be fine in Bolton, I work there and all the roads are pretty well signposted and lanes marked clearly, and they make sense!

I passed!!

4 minor faults, was a good ride apart from on the way to the test I made just about every mistake possible...getting them out of the way I suppose lol.

Thanks to everyone on here for the advice, now I had better rip up those L-Plates!
