Have grown a bit sick of listening to my muted engine and looking at that scabby end can so am on the look out for a new pipe for my SV650S yr 2000.
Problem is I haven't a clue where to look, have checked the usual haunts such as ebay and the SV forum but not that much joy so far.
Have got my eye on one exhaust but need to have more of a look around.
So if anyone can give me a link to a site or shop I'd be really gratefull.
I'm looking for a can with all the link pipes, holders and baffle for no more than £150 odd.
I know it's not much but it is a 9 year old SV so I don't see the point in spending tons, just want a bit more noise.
Used or brand new it doesn't matter just as long as it isn't manky looking.
Anything else I need to add just let me know Smile.
Thanks Razz .

I have the same bike as you, and am very happy with my fuel stainless steel oval:

https://www.fuelexhausts.com/Results.cfm?scndctgry_ID=43

I also hear good things about beowulf exhausts:

https://beowulf-performance-products.com/shop/category.asp?catid=82

If you go for the fuel, note that the "budget" models require you to drill out the baffle - much easier to spend the few quid more for an easily removeable baffle which can be kept under your seat and be replaced if necessary.

Yea viper sound really good (youtube) but I've found that prices vary depending on where and whom you buy it from, I don't know how to go around finding the cheapest.
I saw a beauwulf stubby being sold on ebay for £170 but on some other company website they were flogging same exhaust for over £200 Shocked .
Saw twin renegade exhausts being sold on ebay couple of days ago but missed out Crying or Very sad .

EDIT: The fuel don't come with a link pipe? Is there any way to get one as I don't want to cut my exhaust.

I just got a pair of SS cans with blue burn effect on them (not actually sure on the make, off ebay for £90

I think it all good timing on ebay. I spent 3 weeks trying to find a pair of cans just searching ebay every other day and you will find what you want Smile

+1

Really impressed with the quality of my stainless oval and it sounds great too! Cool

Bought the cheaper one which had the rivetted baffle. If you can afford it, probably better paying slightly more for the one with the removable baffle. Drilling it out was a bit of a P.I.T.A., but it maybe would have been easier if I'd had better drill bits! Smile

Don't buy new it's a complete waste of money.

Buy this:

https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SUZUKI-SV650-CARBON-CO-EXHAUST-RACE-CAN-TWIN-TAILPIPE_W0QQitemZ220401689120QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Motorcycle_Parts?hash=item220401689120&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=66%3A2|65%3A2|39%3A1|240%3A1318

Snipe bid it. Shouldn't go above £80. Carbon Can Company used to sell them new for £115 posted and they are great cans for the sv. If you have a standard can at the moment and simply want more noise, don't get a stubby. Yet.

The Fuel comes with a link pipe. As far as I know, you have to cut the exhaust for all SV650 end cans.
You will need - big hack saw, 2 spare blades, masking tape or similar to mark where you want to cut, tape measure and a little exhaust sealant paste (or whatever it was called...). Then just spend half an hour cutting and swearing.

Something will come up on ebay, just be patient if you don't want to spend too much cash.

Twin high-level renegades sounded brutal on my mate's SV. You can hear it from a distance. But as Greg said, buy 2nd hand off ebay. They're pretty much the same as each other if you're going for noise. All you want is just more amplitude so any used can under 50 quid will do well irrespective of make.

I was tustling between Fuel and Beowulf if i wanted to buy new; but found a micron for 70 quid delivered.. not bad but not over the moon with build quality. I've seen beowulf and fuel cans and they look very well made and good value. Carbon Can Company gets a very good look in. I'm assuming you're not going for premier names like Akraopvic, Yoshi or Arrow?

Having a look at that viper site now, thanks Itch.
Have had the Carbon co in my watch list for a few days now, he wouldn't end the auction early so will see how it goes.
Don't think I need to cut my exhaust, at least Ram hasn't mentioned it.
Came across a site called madforbikes and they have a Delcovitch? exhaust system for £120, checked on youtube and it sounds nommy but has anyone had any experience with them?
Nup not looking at big names, unless they are going cheap.

EDIT: Just called Sandy bike spares and he said they don't do any exhausts for the SV Confused .

You do realise that you have to cut the system with any SV650 can? And usually when an SV650 can comes with a link pipe its to allow you to re fit the old can in a bodge style?

Just checking!

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

Yup Ram's going to cut it for me.
Nicked my dad's angle grinder and got a metal cutter for it, so my bikes surgery is on saturday.
