NSR 125 assistance

Hi,

Perhaps someone can assist.

I hit a roundabout from a dual carriageway, I am unable to continue so have to pause as usual.

Trouble is as I'm taking off again I'm in 1st, with good biting point and good revs, the bike just judders, and revs drop below it's ticking over point, sounds like it's conking out, bunny hops and I end up in the middle of the roundabout having to restart the engine and off it goes, sometimes after two attempts at this.

Oh and I should add even if I have full throttle, makes no difference, just kinda dies on me...yet she works admirably in every other situation.

Any ideas?

how hard you hit that roundabout ?
did you do an inspection about the damages ?
can you push & roll the bike ?
it's difficult to tell you with so few reports

Hi,

I guess my explanation wasn't good.

I didn't actually hit the roundabout, it just means I arrived at the roundabout in a normal flow of traffic and have to shift down to 1st before moving off again.

Then the above happens, quite randomly, and it only seems after I've topped 40+ MPH before arriving at the roundabout.

Yes I can push/roll the bike.

check coil primary terminal (black/yellow wire) and at the other end on the 4 wires connector at the CDI . if your rev counter does fancy movements it's there
fit a new plug (i recommand BR9EIX instead of BR9ECS which is bull shit)
check HT lead and cap . this can be tested with a multimeter

the other possibility could be a fuel line problem and in this case you must clean : tank tap (because it's a filter inside) , carb strainer , float chamber
and by the way , clean and slightly oil the air box foam filter

just out of interest alains, if you were stranded in the middle of nowhere needing a spark plug and some kind passer by offered you a BR9ECS would you take it greatfully and put it in your bike or would you tell them its bull shit and start walking
