Girlfriend had a miscarriage...

Her period finished about a week and a half ago, and a few days ago she started bleeding heavily. She went to the doctor already pretty sure what was up. What we didn't know was it was 6 weeks old and the period came anyway...
She's on the pill so we never thought this would happen. A bit shocked but it hasn't really hit me yet I think. Mixed feelings I guess...

Friend of mine recently had a kid while his missus was on the pill. Either wear a condom as well as the pill or have a coat hanger handy.

Lol at my ex. She's still stirring shit up after being with her new boyfriend for almost half a year I think she never got over me cause she's been trying to ruin my new relationship...

Sorry for you, but at the same time you must be pretty relieved that a) you're not going to be a dad yet, and that b) at least your swimmers do their job!

One thing people should know is that the pill is almost entirely effective at stopping this sort of thing happen if taken in EXACT accordance with the guidelines given - the problems start to come when people miss pills (taking 2 the next day doesn't work), when the person is ill and throws it back up or through some other interaction with a medication they are taking. It may be worth double checking everything is Kosher with your misses - I'm not for a minute suggesting that you go in all guns blazing and ask her if she had forgotten to take etc. especially at this sensitive time. It is good to be aware that under certain circumstances extra caution is needed and obviously if you know when interactions are likely to happen, to implement a bit of common sense with extra protection as and when.

Sorry to hear about this but I think its maybe a warning to be more careful if you dont want children at your age. Its a horrible thing
for any women through and maybe you should be thankful that it was 6 weeks and not further on where its more difficult, labour is involved then.

Had this post been in "Aunty" ... I might have considered posting opinions/emotions about the subject (having been there myself)

But seeing as how you chose to post it here, and people chose to turn it into a daft thread, I see little point.

The only relevance really is the "my would-be child died" ... which is, I have to say, a difficult thing to contemplate, whether through miscarriage or abortion, and depending whether you would be interested in parenthood or not, it only becomes relevant to you. Many is the time when I've thought "gosh, that was a heavy/late period, wonder if it was an early miscarriage - if so, thank fuck!" and other times when I've thought "Damn, what was that? Kinda woulda liked a bawling squalling pissing shitting chundering helpless bundle of wrinkles right about now/with/without the father's help or knowledge."

So yeah ...

Dunno.
