I'm currently in employment, the shit hole that is Threshers and I'm desperate to get out...
Past problems are no more, the staff here are cool but I just hate the place itself.
I would like to free up my weekends so that I can enjoy my bike without worrying about commitments and I need more money
so I'm not asking for much. Laughing

I've learned that I absoloutly hate anything to do with serving or dealing with customers so sales assistance and customer service etc are all out.
I'm currently at college and I will be for the next year at least
so I'm not very flexible, I've gotten way to used to telling my boss exactly what it is that I am and am not doing. Cool Razz
I'm prepared to take on orders but I'm going to have to concentrate hard to become disciplined, the more work I have to do the better.

Now I've phoned a number of places around the local industrial estate and applied at the local Morrisons but there doesn't apear to be anything going.
I'm looking mostly at nightshifts, part time as this is the most realistic way for me to make more money.
I'm looking for jobs within my local area as everyone knows what my transport reliability record is like Rolling Eyes.
I will consider jobs further afield but only if there would be a back up transport option... How late do buses run?

My available days to work are:
Late Mondays
Tuesdays
Wednesdays

I am looking for 16-27 hours a week with pay no lower than £6 an hour, preferably night work as I said.
The one other thing I've thought about is doing postal rounds but I can't imagine the hours being available as part time.

Sorry for the wall of text guys but I'd really appreciate any help or advice, thank you in advance.

Its a part time job, not a career. Stick it out until college finishes.

I agree - it'll get you used to roughing it in your chosen career too, as you need to learn to take the good and the bad! Just now be grateful for what you do have and make the best of it and I know it's not what you want to hear.

Keep looking for something better by all means, but don't let it colour your behaviour in your current job, as if you don't find a replacement you certainly don't want to lose everything. Be professional - it's only a fill in job, but you should still give it your best, if only to prove you can and you may find putting a positive spin on it will make you feel happier about it.

Well dont even think of working in a modern large corporate at management level ... the political correctness is suffocating.

eg: You are not allowed to use the term 'Brainstorm' as it is a medical term used to describe what does on with the electrical discharge inside the brain when having an epileptic fit ... and is deemed that it could offend someone who suffers from epilepsy.
I was sent an email asking me to use the term 'Thought Shower'.

EDIT: read the original post properly and relalised that I have not answered the question at all and gone off at a mad tangent.
However I feel a lot better for my little rant and stand by it .. so it stays.

Thanks for the replies, they are certainly good pieces of advice and I will stick out my current job, I already have done so for 4 months more than I wanted to, like I said all the opportunities seemed to have closed up.
I understand the ridiculous situation this country and the people are in, we're all in the same boat at the moment but for me it won't do.

The main aim of a new employment is that during the switchover I will be earning upwards of £700 per month, which I need for a loan extension.
Yes it seems crazy to be thinking about such things like that at the moment but it really is everything or nothing and I'd be much happier living (aka riding allot) with the risk of everything fucking up than I am at the moment.
Crash and burn I may but I care not as long as I enjoy the path there.

So yes as I said I need ideas... Pretty Please Mr. Green
