Posted: 22:59 - 04 May 2009 Post subject: Brainstorming Jobs... any Ideas? |
 |
|
I'm currently in employment, the shit hole that is Threshers and I'm desperate to get out...
Past problems are no more, the staff here are cool but I just hate the place itself.
I would like to free up my weekends so that I can enjoy my bike without worrying about commitments and I need more money
so I'm not asking for much.
I've learned that I absoloutly hate anything to do with serving or dealing with customers so sales assistance and customer service etc are all out.
I'm currently at college and I will be for the next year at least
so I'm not very flexible, I've gotten way to used to telling my boss exactly what it is that I am and am not doing.
I'm prepared to take on orders but I'm going to have to concentrate hard to become disciplined, the more work I have to do the better.
Now I've phoned a number of places around the local industrial estate and applied at the local Morrisons but there doesn't apear to be anything going.
I'm looking mostly at nightshifts, part time as this is the most realistic way for me to make more money.
I'm looking for jobs within my local area as everyone knows what my transport reliability record is like .
I will consider jobs further afield but only if there would be a back up transport option... How late do buses run?
My available days to work are:
Late Mondays
Tuesdays
Wednesdays
I am looking for 16-27 hours a week with pay no lower than £6 an hour, preferably night work as I said.
The one other thing I've thought about is doing postal rounds but I can't imagine the hours being available as part time.
Sorry for the wall of text guys but I'd really appreciate any help or advice, thank you in advance. |

Thanks for the replies, they are certainly good pieces of advice and I will stick out my current job, I already have done so for 4 months more than I wanted to, like I said all the opportunities seemed to have closed up.
I understand the ridiculous situation this country and the people are in, we're all in the same boat at the moment but for me it won't do.
The main aim of a new employment is that during the switchover I will be earning upwards of £700 per month, which I need for a loan extension.
Yes it seems crazy to be thinking about such things like that at the moment but it really is everything or nothing and I'd be much happier living (aka riding allot) with the risk of everything fucking up than I am at the moment.
Crash and burn I may but I care not as long as I enjoy the path there.
So yes as I said I need ideas... Pretty Please |
