The NS is a different bike to the NSR so you wont find any answers on nsr125.com.

The NS is not that simple to de-restrict, the air box is heavily restrictive as is the exhaust (I think).

Best thing you can probably do is get an aftermarket exhaust system for it and get it set up correctly for that. Maybe even a k&n type air filter (either for the air box or in place of the air box) but make sure that you get the thing jetted accordingly or you'll seize it.

Hi

I would expect a restricted NS125 to rev beyond 6000~7000 but not with any great enthusiasm and to be pretty out of breath by 8000rpm.

All the best

You know the one which "splutters around 4/5k", Was that the one which you sold me the top end off ?
Because before when mine was working (Before it went kapow !) it had no problem, but since I changed the top end I've noticed that happening.

Just wondering Ian, It's not like I'm going to come around and break your legs for selling me duff parts ! Wink

Richard,

Both of the barrels 'spluttered', it made no diff on my bike. I thought it was a problem at the time, but after taking it to a shop and getting them to check it over they said it was fine and that most 2-smokes did this.
