had to drive it home it first gear!
Need new indicator , new gear leaver and stickers Sad

and the fairs cracked where the indicator joins Crying or Very sad

Did the front or the back go?... sounds like you'll at least be able to get it ridable without much effort.

depends how you want to do it up ... Ie looking good as new or just rideable:

Indicators:
pair of mini indicators for around £10

Gear lever:
Hopefully from a breakers or non-oe manufacturer £5-£20, probably looking at around £30 for an orginal... though not sure about that.
If it's just bent, you might be able to bend it back... thouigh I tried doing that on my (front) brake lever on my klr and just snapped the end off Confused

Fairing & Sitckers
£Loads for a new fairing or get some araldite and paint/sticker over it. Stickers shouldn't be *too* much (if available).

New fairing will be a bit pricey, about 100ish upwards i would say depending on which bits you replace. have no idea about the gearing problem.

I was in halfords the other day and they had this stuff for sale that fills in cracks and deep scratches on *FIBERGLASS* im not sure if the fairings on nsr's are plastic?

Did you damage your clutch lever?...or gear selector?...I'm assuming that you only had to ride home in 1st because of this? (and not 'cos of any engine damage etc...?)

By the sound of it, you can probably just repair the fairing, there are a few plastic repair kits out there...or you can use G's method...I really don't think that it'll be worth replacing the panel (but then again, I haven't actually seen the damage)...
...you can probably order the official stickers through your local dealer...but expect to wait...

Its the gear selecter thats snapped off, clutch leaver is fine(except a few scratches! Rang around a few places and there gonna call me back on monday Crying or Very sad

with the prices. Im assuming the engine is fine Confused

fingers crossed! Ill probably just patch up the fairing its not mega damage ill post a pic up soon as i find my digi cam and see what you rekons best!

If the fairing is only cracked you should be able to ghet it welded pretty cheaply..... Good luck!

Welding a fairing??? Hmmmmm.
The stuff from Halfords is good. Worked on my NSR when I re-sprayed it.
Check the entire shaft for the gear selector though, make sure it aint bent inside.

Yeah, plastic welding is probably the way to go with the fairing, should cost much more than £30 or so. They did it on my V-Raptor's tank cover, and you can't see it, which is saying something when you see the shape of the tank!

if the fairing is wrecked then why not turn the bike into a streetfighter it depends on individual taste. you could have a different looking decent nsr for the cost of the repairs?
