I pity people who have only had the modern sanitised versions of beer.

I like the occasion Guinnes, or a decent lager, but a proper English bitter served well, is where its at.

Unfortunately most pubs cant do bitters justice, so usually its better to order a lager. If they manage to fuck up serving a lager, then its bottled lager. Its practically impossible to fuck up opening a bottle of lager.

It depends on the weather but normaly its magners in the sun or guinness in the rain.

Hold the group record for downing a pint of guinness, less than 4 seconds, think i could do it in 3 if i started sober instead of half cut.

Can also down a big bottle of cider in just over 4 seconds, by big i mean the one size below a litre, 600ml or something.

Don't really have an all time fave, depends what mood I'm in. In no particular order (and with favourites in brackets);

Single Malt Whisky (Coal Ila)
Real Ale (Arran Sunset)
Semi-decent wine (NZ Sauv Blanc and Chilean Cab Sauv)
Gin and Tonic (Gordons - none of that Bombay pish)
EDIT - forgot Whisky and Ginger Ale (not Ginger Beer!)

Not such a fan of sweet drinks, but the occasional Mojito or White Russian is never turned down.

I'm a huge fan of carling premier either from a can or draught from a pub (not that many pubs round here sell it), the best pint i ever had was from the brewery in burton. If i can't get that i like a guiness or just a generic lager. But then again i like black and tan (guiness and bass, i beleive some people call it shit mix), and also a black velvet (guiness and cider).

Spirits wise, i'm a big brandy fan, but its got to be good, either remy martin xo or the hennesey alternative.

As for wine, i love red, especially californian, but the all time favorite wine is rioja special reserve.

You softy blue, I have been on a brewery trip last night and had 6 different ales and my stomach feels fine this morning

Was at beer festival this weekend, now they had some damn good beers. The stuff I had later on in the night was good, but I can't comment too much as it was all getting a bit hazy.

Although one of my first few was one of these, and it was damn tasty, would definitly get another one of these when I see it

Having only recently been diagnosed as gluten intolerant, my drinks choice has changed from ales to cider. I can still drink (and enjoy) ales but generally drink cider now as it makes living with me a little easier.

My favourite beers were:

Bullmastiff's 'Son of a Bitch'
Most beers from the Wychwood, Shepherd Neame or Badger breweries
and either Brains SA or Rev James down the pub.

Favourite ciders:

Thatchers Spartan
Gwynt y Ddraig's Orchard Gold or Black Dragon

Down the pub it will be either Magners or Bulmers - none of that Strongbow rubbish, it gives me really bad heartburn.
