Really nice, I'm not sure why but the first thing that popped into my head when I saw the white images on the front was "Is that a cows face" |

Ok got a few more bits together for my baby now, although shes broke again She'll start and run, and idle fine, and if you rev it whilst stationary its ok, but as soon as you get up and running and put any load (above 4k) on the engine it starts running pants and then just slows down whilst misfiring until it cuts out, regardless of what you do with the throttle. It'll then generally restart again and do the same thing again!
Also the start switch is intermittent, sometimes you press it and it kicks the starter in straight away, others you can press it as much as you like and nothing, although it eventually works.
I'm going to replace the air filter, carb fuel filter, intake manifold (cracks round where the carb goes in) clean the tank filters and clean out the carb again with new gaskets/seals for the first fault, and check the switch contacts in the handlebar switches for the second, any ideas/help would be greatly appreciated on these two!
On a more positive note, i've got myself a pair of Dunlop GP Racers to go on and ive put original bar weights back on it.
I'm looking forward to doing the bits listed above, in a way, going to change the gearbox oil while im there, but would much rather just ride the thing! Oh well at least i'll know the bike.. |

Ta chap i've since moved the tax disc to the other side so the front brake looks alot better now, emeryed the surface rust away on the middle of the discs and painted all the bolts black too.
Haha yea the plates abit brave i know.. but it just looks so rubbish full size!
Yea deffo good fun over 8k mine wont even get to that at the moment though, hopefully its nothing major, it is abit fluffy between 5-6k even though the cdi mods been done with any luck i can sort both problems. Can't wait to get my tyres on as both of the ones on it are square.. should feel so much nicer! Got any plans for yours? |

Cheers,
Yea changing the air filter element, carb filter and going to clean the fuel filters in the tank, i'd change them but you have to buy the whole tap and i'm too tight
Yea going to drain the tank whilst i'm doing the tank filters, got alot to do thinking about it! |

Really tidy rs that, if you need a 34mm carb then let me know as I have two for sale (was using one on my bike and the other is from a friends bike so they're both soundo). No manifolds to match them though sorry. ____________________ R.I.P. Tareree Shiimi, 1985-2008 |
