I just brought a RXS100 and since Im going 2 miles to work each day I have only used it.

Its really refreshing having something with a lot less power and really enjoy riding it (as feel bad taking the 600 on small journeys).

Reckon I will sell the 'Four at some point and just have the 100 for my last year of uni and I reckon the break will make sport bikes feel 'new' again.

Plus the RXS100 did 100 miles on ~£6 fuel, which is pretty cheap Thumbs Up

What sort of cc you thinking?

You need a nice ZZR600...

Maybe in Silver & Purple...

With a mere 57k on the clocks...

And maybe a few scrapes to add character...

I have a plan Laughing

I sold my 'Blade and bought my Speed Four and don't regret it at all. What I do regret is that I sold my Buell in the first place. Confused

The only thing that could get me off of the S4 is possibly a Street Triple, or another Buell, maybe an XB12S Lightning.

I think the Speed Four is just on the right side of the 'fun' line, but its still exciting. Its also very confidence inspiring and handles very very well. They are also reasonably cheap at the moment, but then again so are Firestorms...

Yes, but what year is your bike? I reckon I could get a half decent 600 for that money that will be a lot newer...

what are Buells like to ride/live with? An American friend of the family had one, although he seemed to have trouble keeping the front wheel below 4 foot in the air.

250 2 stroke would be the ideal weekend toy in my opinion.
a general purpose bike for a bit of everything would be a fazer or similar.
and as a commuting hack with a bit of fun i'd be with the bandit.

Saying all this, i'd kill for a new speed triple. or an old 90's 750.

I have a versys as my commute run around vehicle. Dirt cheap to run and service( 2 plugs and not alot of oil...2.4 litres from dry). Its a parrallel 650 twin with about 64bhp. Its a retuned ER6N lump with a broader spread of torque. It goes ok, doesnt handle that bad, but on the commute to work, which is back roads, A roads, motorways and into london I average 58-63mpg....I put in £13 to fill to the brim after 187miles....this is doign between 80 and 90 on the motorways and 75ish on a roads.

I went for the versys over the ER as its a bigger bike and I dont feel cramped on it... Im only 5,11 though.

If you want low power and light weight, my usual-recommend is a Husky SM610. KTM SMC also worth a look.
If you're not bothered by having low weight and low power and as you liked the TRX - a TDM850/900?
