Just got out of work, dying of man-flu (might as well be malaria then, it's all going black ) to find my bike where I left it.

Had a nice cig, then noticed a barend suspiciously like mine lying on the floor.

Bastard bolt had been snapped clean in half, and all the throttle tube was cracked.

Then found my disclock was wedged between the stantion and disc, completely stopping the wheel (with a nice chunk out of the locks robber sleave).

Managed to unwedge it and theres no apparent damage to the disc (no pulsing etc), and the throttle does just about work.

Bastard. Lots of extra scratches to my already scratched bike, but its the principle about that too They were MY scratched from proper slides, not some mongoloid trumpet cunt wanting to play biker.

Anyway, there appears to be a CCTV camera that would of had a perfect view, but knowing the NHS it wasn't on. If it is though, what can I expect as an outcome? I phoned the fuzz and got a crime number, and they're going to ask security for footage. FYI, never let 118118 put you through, rinsed £6 of credit in 5 minutes

I'm ringing the local Honda garage to ask how much to fit a throttle tube and grip (gonna be lumpy, you have to rip the carbs off to get the cables off to get the tube off). Bar end was scratched to hell and bolt snapped, so £15 for them. And because the guy is obviously a tit, I'll get a new endcan, indicator and brake lever (or the money to replace them) if I can, because they are far more fucked then before. It's the principle damnit.

Anyone had experience of this? What was the outcome?

the monkey used to be prime target for gettin bits twisted off it, god knows how many air filters, had the plug cap stolen once !
took to covering the loose bits with CV grease (green and seriously sticky) stopped it all dead.

Be the first set of Japanese carbs I've ever seen that you have to remove to detach the throttle cable(s).

There again, The newest Jap. bike I've owned is ten years old. Perhaps they have plumbing new depths of design lunacy in recent years?

Don't tell me they've started putting the throttle pulley between carbs 2&3 instead of on the end again? That is, as my younger brother is fond of saying, "a cunts game".

Yep, it's in the middle hidden away underneath them. You have to take them off and rotate them 90degrees to have a shot at doing them. Took me and a mate about 2 hours to change the throttle cables over.

Ah well, it's rideable as it is, and I can sort the bar end out with the spares from the other side that I screwed straight in to the weight with a random bolt. Still, very irritating.

Glad I have crash bungs though.

umm you dont need to have the carbs off at worse you need to remove the clip on to make the cables lose but you dont need to take carbs off

2 - They can't view the tapes without the police.

Which coupled with the polices 'We can't watch 6 hours of tapes, we have a 2 hour maximum' essentially means this tit has got away with it.
