My NSR is screwed but nots sure if its a write off. The insurance company won't give me a hire bike because I'm uninsureable apparently (only been riding 3 months ). So would it be better to just go and buy a new bike and pray the money comes through from my old one or spend ludicrous amounts of money on a hire bike? The hassle of insurance is a really good way to make people ride more carefully.
Im asking the combined knowledge of BCF cos I dunno what to do.

If you know that you are going to get money from your damaged bike from the insurance company anyway (are you definate about tht?) then why not just go out and find a new bike and use that? That way you'll get the money back when the insurance pays out?
You'd be throwing money away from your insurance payout if you were just hiring a bike for days or weeks at a time?
Just my opinion. ____________________ Colin McRae MBE 1968 - 2007 RIP

It was most definately not my fault so I guess that means claiming from there insurance I think. Im well worried the claim inspectors will pick up onsomething on my bike and void the claim. I dunno what but something like the restrictor being out of the exhaust. Im such a newbie to this sort of stuff. Can I claim the money back on all the taxis, buses, trains, tubes I've gone on since the accident? I kept the reciepts for them all.

Just rang up the company that had been holding my bike from the scene, £420 quid for the holding and the delivery! My wallet is smarting.
Yeah I only have tp f&t.
edit*The derestriction was done by cutting the exhaust in half then rewelding it so it's kinda obvious.*edit
Cheers.

Because the bike power isnt what it says on the tin so to speak. If that doesnt matter then I am much less stressed than I was about this.
Cheers

I didn't say it was restricted or derestricted to them.
