Just get a set off ebay/breaker, gixxers are common as muck, and a few of the years are interchangeable.
500 quid is a joke.

Have a go yourself if you've got a manual along with the microfiche on https://www.alpha-sports.com/suzuki_parts.htm you will be OK as long as you are tidy and methodical, you should have 4 of most things split them into 4 lots and then do one carb at a time. You can buy new emulsion tubes which are supposedly oval?? (can be hard to see but the slightest out of true will affect running) they do go but the symptoms are usually rough/erratic running higher up the rev range not "running rich"
You can get carb oparts and rebuild kits from https://www.nrp-carbs.com/ ____________________ I used to be indecisive but now I'm not quite so sure.
