front lights not working nsr 125

for some reason my front lights have stoped working . the rears work ok ...when put ignition on and switch the lights all i have is the highbeam light come on the dash have checked the hi an lo switch looks ok i cant understand there not even side lights ..has any one else had this fault and if so what was the fault

no but have tried disconnecting one at a time to see if there is a short

take the bulb out & have a look at the filaments inside the glass to see if they're blown, if they are then replace the bulb. if you need to install a new one, make sure it's the proper voltage & amperage for your bike or it could blow again. if the head light does go again then it's maybe more than just a bulb issue.

Have you upgraded the bulbs to more powerful ones? I did that and melted the holders.

No upgrading of bulbs i think it a wire fault so will have to go into a shop to be repaired

Bit quick to give up on it, aren't you..?! Wiring might seem complicated, but break it down and it really only comes down to a wire going to and from somewhere.

spent a whole day on this not to up on electrics mechanic i am fine , looking at he wiring looks like it been repaired before so it better that i give it to some one who knows about it cause i dont wanna cause any more damage

look at the connectors fixed somewhere near the bottom yoke or at the light switch on your right handle

if someone has already bodged an area of the loom, that would be an ideal place to start, if it were me i would count myself lucky i had a hint of where the problem mighnt be. dont throw in the towel, just have a poke about before you go paying some apprentice to do it for you Laughing
