For 2 strokes have a look at Piaggio Typhoon 125s, Gilera Runner 125s and Aprilia SR125s. If you don't mind having a little less power, Peugeot Speedfight 100s and Vivacity 100s are good scooters.

Great scooters, but you may struggle to find a 100cc as they didn't seem to make many.

Go for old school styled Vespa (doesn't have to be an old one).

Underseat storage plus metal panels (so can bend back into shape rather than flimsy breakable plastic).

Thumbs Up

Riding a 125cc scooter on a motorway/dual carriage is scary. You schould consider this Rolling Eyes

Honda SH300 ABS is the best scooter around but quite pricy. SH125 can hit 70mph without problems as well.

With a piaggio or SYM or that kind of scooter, you will have loads of leccy problems + cornering wont be fun + easy to feel the engine ramming your bum at high speeds +, +, etc..
To me, yamaha bws100 is extraordinary but unfortunately not sold in the uk.
BTW first rule of biking;
If you cant decide what to buy, get yourself a honda Mr. Green
