 |
|
I'm sorry if this is a majorly stupid question but... My dad has just bought a 2001 piaggio X9 250 scooter and I'm wondering would it be possible to take on a trip from Devon to Scotland and back? Its like 19bhp so not a lot of power there, basically i reckon its possible but is it just going to be agony? Scooter/Motorbike jokes aside, I wanna know! Thanks everyone! ____________________

Yeah, it's possible alright. There's a well respected forum member who travels all over the place on a 125cc Piaggio X9. They're so easy to travel on he fell asleep one time, funny story. Anyway, send a PM to X9Travels he'll tell you more. ____________________ Current Bikes: Husqvarna Svartpilen 401 (2020)

From then on, I and the bicycle feelings deeper. |

I'm trying bloody hard to restrain myself here...
Yes, it'll definitely take you to Scotland. Don't expect to get there in style, or in a seating position that you'd normally associate with being 'comfortable' on a bike: I'm told that weather protection and storage capacity is the sales point on these.

Depends what your pain threshhold is really.
Porn stars take it up the ringer nice and simple and seem to like it
I tried it with the missus and it wasn't happening to be fair.
So you have to decide what are you ? Pornstar or bitch ?
Personally i think the most painful part of the journey would be being seen riding bitch on a ped. ____________________ Current: Gsxr 600 Srad - GS125 - DT125

Awesome That sound like the perfect collection - Commuter, tourer and pocket rocket for the weekend. I just wish my garage was big enough for 3 bikes. Is there a track at Squires? Where in Scotland did you go? |

I'm with Wizzzard, you got any L Plates on yet?
Also, I'd suggest getting some practice on a manual bike. ____________________ "Four wheels move the body, two wheels move the soul."

My mate got his GS500 restriced to 36bhp and hardly notices the diffrent[/quote]
Wouldnt 33bhp have made it more worthwhile...36 is a waste of time isnt it, why not leave it full power ?
Where is the thread on this falling asleep while in control of a ped...sounds like a right laugh.... |
