It's probably a dumb question, but I've only just moved up to 4 strokes.
When checking the engine oil on a 600 hornet, do I observe the reading whilst the bike is on the side stand, or do I stand it fully upright and then check it?

Cool, I shat myself because I was doing it on the side stand and getting diddly squat, an I'd been hooning it about half the day yesterday.
