Would I be able to get a 95-96 CBR600 for under £2500?
I personally was leaning to the GSX's but there dont seem to be that many around atm |

A decent 90's CBR is always an option. Personally id leave the GSX Teapots well alone, horrible finish on them. The ZZR is ok if your short, but its sporty like the CBR, so might not be such a good commuter. The Diversion, is cheap robust, reliable, and would make an ok daily bike, thats fairly cheap to maintain/run. Its not very exciting tho. Personally if you fit one ok, id look for a nice GPZ500S, its a nice slightly more sporty twin than the GS or CB, and is faster than either, and handles ok too. It needs looking after to maintain the finish, but its streets ahead of the GS/GSX in that respect. |

A faired GS500E, nothing could look better
But it all depends on your needs, although an older CBR if you can get a good one would be okay I reckon. ____________________ 04 Suzuki GSX-R 600 K4 - Sex on wheels :>

Looks like the CBR is gonna cost too much to run
I will be using the bike mainly for commuting and motorway work, I do go scratching on my days off too, and I would like something faster than I have now (which really isn't hard, LOL) |

I'm a bit of a sissy when it comes to doing stuff myself, I rather prefer someone else to do it even on my GS, atleast then if they feck it up there to blame not me |

The one and only downpoint of the cbr600 is there are so many, but its your transport and you don't own it just to brag to mates then who cares
zzr 600 is another good allrounder, its a sports tourer, so you can scare yourself half to death or go to spain on it, your choice friend of mine had one for a few years and love it, used it every day, suppriseingly comfortable and excelent for long distance work, a recent article in performance bikes was pointing out howmuchbetter a touring bike it was than bmws flagship tourer at £5/6K more!
The diversion- while a good solid dependable mild mannered bike... its so dull it makes me want to cry, like a two wheeled mondeo, good but very very boreing.
Personally i'd have vfr750
https://i19.ebayimg.com/02/i/01/e6/a0/4f_1.JPG
within your price brackett, will do anything, touring, trackdays motorways and round town pottering... relyable, powerfull as your likeley to need it to be for quite some time, certiainly enough for any sane individuals not sure on the running costs but its another one to think about... ____________________ >RidingSkills<->Tech Tips<->MyBikes< |

Well I can unhappily say that the CBR600 is way out of the equasion, its gonna cost me far to much to insure compared to other bikes I am considering.
And the VFR750 is too, servicing costs on a VFR750 are also to high too, so I'm still looking
The 2(3) contenders at the moment are the GSX6 and the XJ600S Divvy or a newer GS of course:-)
Insurance costs is my main deciding factor and for some reason I'm getting sky high quotes on the CBR? |

On a side note, if you get anything other than an unbelievably good looking GS500E then you will have to do something about your name, something you should take into consideration before you commit to a new bike ____________________ 04 Suzuki GSX-R 600 K4 - Sex on wheels :>
