What did you get your missus / fella on your first wedding anniversary?

I'm stumped at what to get the wife, all I know is that paper is traditional but what exactly? A folded tenner in the card?

Ideas please people! Very Happy

I'd go for a voucher for a spa day out or similar, a bit of pampering goes a long way.

Cheers

Cool, some good ideas so far.

Any more?

If it helps we may be on holiday on the date of our anniversary, perhaps in Spain / Portugal...

In that case, go out and get completely hammered and pass her the bill Mr. Green

Well, it's made of paper!

Cheers

I did her a treasure hunt around the house following clues written on, you'll never guess.... yup, paper.

She even found her prize at the end... a kinder egg with a toy inside. Thumbs Up I could never understand why she wasn't as happy as I thought she would be on finding that.

It's our tenth anniversary this year.
For our eighth as a suprise I took her to London to see Stomp and stay in the Savoy. For our ninth I gave her a baby, what the hell do I do for our tenth that tops that!? Shocked

So lesson from this is start off very cheap and work your way upwards, if you reach the limit too soon like me then the next 50 anniversaries will be buggered!

If you have the time.....make her a bunch of roses out of paper. I'm currently making my bouquet for my wedding....looks fab.

If you're feeling rich...you can use £5notes to make? Thumbs Up

Loads of origami video's on youtube. Just search for origami rose.

Here's one I made earlier Mr. Green

MrsGixer managed to forget our 1st anniversary, whereas i made quite a bit of an effort.
This now stands me in great stead for doing absolutely feck all for any subsequent anniversaries, as i can just wheel out the 'well at least i didn't forget our 1st' excuse - it's like a 'get out of jail free' card, only better.
Thumbs Up

Why the FUCK shouldnt I expect something decent for my first anniversary?

Why the hell is a bloke expected to put all the effort in? I get great enjoyment from sorting out surprises and shit....but fuck me, I'd quite like a surprise myself in a while.

And I get the feeling half the lads here didnt get anything quite as swanky in return.

Hi, my first anniversary is on the 19th July.

I already know she's got me a brand new Yoshi Exhaust for my DRZ400.

I'm just on Moonpig now to get her a card. Thumbs Up

Start as your mean to go on. Mr. Green

We dont give each other presents on our anniversary. We tend to go out somewhere for a nice meal and stay in a nice posh hotel the night.

Suits me as I'm crap at buying presents!

Thumbs Up

I forgot our first wedding anniversary Embarassed and the week before that I bought my new bike on her birthday Laughing .

Fair to say I was not the most popular face around the house for a while. I made it up though because I did feel genuinely bad about it. What she doesn't know is that she is getting carbon Termignoni cans for x-mas Mr. Green

This is BCF so punching and doing are the traditional response,

However, I'd suggest you give her something to treasure for always...

Herpes. Thumbs Up
