i use sony in ear buds but the only problem is if you have them too loud it is hard to hear police sirens
so i got a bluetooth helmet witch is good but over 50 all you can hear is rrrrrrrrrrrrr
the helmet connects to my phone so i can make calls and its really clear

I just sing to myself
I think it's dangerous, to be honest. You might have to have the volume so high for when you're at speed that it'll drown everything else out when you're slow or stopped. Plus that'll damage your ears without you realizing it.

ive got a garmin zumo sat nav that can play music and stuff...
I use sony in ear earphones with a balaclava and its fine. its easier with a zumo though because i can adjust the volume at the touch of a button. you can also get a headset so you can make phone calls too but thats pointless for me.
If you were going to use an ipod, itd be abit harder to adjust volume, maybe even dangerous
but i think if you set the volume right and then leave it alone while riding you'll be fine.
people ride around in cars that blare music out really loud, singing and nodding their head at the same time, as long as you dont do that youll be fine. |

I did on my NSR, but now I have the Hornet I'm giving it a rest so I can get used to the normal engine noise and add to the fact that I'm on a more powerful bike and thus need to concentrate more. Eventually I'll start listening to it whilst riding again. When I did before, I had it loud enough to block out horns, sirens etc (because thats the way heavy metal should be played.... ) but keeping my rear observation in check meant that any police/ambulances were seen in good time for me to get the hell out the way.

my advice is to wear a balaclava under your helmet - keeps the earphones in the ear (get proper in ear ones) and reduces wind noise. (and stops your helmet getting covered in sweat as a bonus) - get a silk one if it's really hot.
Just make sure you set the volume to comfortable before you fire up the bike and get going- I've done 90 on the motorway and still heard the music fine and thats in my windy Arai.
Plus I think it makes you a bit safer to listen to music - you're less likely to get bored on the same old commute and try to rag it. (Just dont listen to the new AC/DC album that makes you ride like a lunatic! \nn/ ____________________ bikes: SV650S K5 that is making me do this 57 CBR125 RW-7 - sold ; 54 CBR125 - anyone wanna buy a project?
YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE. |

If im riding ching chong I'll whack the Iphone onto random and pootle about.
On the SRAD though i find myself riding differently depending on what music comes on.
For instance,
If im listening to some Boom Boom Pow i nod my head about alot, But then Girls aloud comes on and i start humping my tank , Im just a love machine, but then if slipknot comes on i start hooning round like a Coke crazed lepper ____________________ Current: Gsxr 600 Srad - GS125 - DT125
