Just had the front end off the cbr to replace some crash damaged parts.
Coming out from the behind the clocks there was a three pin connector ending in a big gooey blob of old electrical tape!
I've unpicked it and enclosed was a small Pcb, I can't figure out what is is or what it does. The bike doesn't really seem to care if it's connected or not. Runs and revs fine all lights, alarm and everything appears to work fine without.
Haynes manual seems to have vanished in the recent move and the iPhone doesn't like the 200page online PDFs available.
What is it? Cookies for helpfulness

Yep, as mentioned above, you take it of and the CDI will complain!! ... you now have 2 options ... leave it dangling (as above) or you can fit an appropriate resistor to fool the CDI/ECU its still connected ...  ____________________ The purpose of life is to fight maturity. |
