CB125T questions...

Hi all, Ive finally got to work on my old Honda CB125T (1980) and just have some quick question regarding oil.

1. I have some 10w/40 oil laying about in the garage, will this be fine to use?

2. Where is the oil filter?

3. how much oil should it take?

Also, does anyone know any good places to get spares for such an old bike. I will be needing things like piston rings etc...

I think they have a gauze in the sump plug, should have a dip stick on the filler cap and David Silver Spares should be able to get most things you need

1) Yes

2) There is a gauze over the pickup for the oil pump. You need to remove the right hand engine cover and oil pump to get at it (it's attached to the oil pump, a rectangular thing with rubber round the edges). Supposed to be done every 5,000 miles. I garauntee it wont have been, ever, so do it now.

3) Around 1.5 litres (a bit more if the engine's been sat for a long time or recently rebuilt).

EDIT: You WILL need an impact driver or a bit and brace to remove the three oil pump screws if they've never been off before. I have twisted the end of an impact bit in a CB125 oil pump screw before today.
