hi,
those engines are known for running very hot.
not much you can do about it.
just fit a decent spark plug & change the oil often.
& make sure the air filter foam is clean.
you could try playing around with the mixture, if your confident.
cheers,
GAZ

buy ngk or denso, or anything except the dodgy chinese ones that are fitted as standard( torch or lg usually).

those chinese bikes have a reputation for running hot.. i had a lifan 125 dirtbike style thing... one day it got so hot it broke. Laughing

you could try different coolant, regular oil changes (as someone has said), spark plugs.
chances are it will happen for as long as you have the bike.
my advice is sell and buy something japanese.. chinese only gives you more problems.
if you hadnt already figured out.. i am launching a personal vendetta to rid the world of chinese bikes Twisted Evil Razz Laughing

do not hose the engine down!
i'm only saying it as once when i was a dumb little boy i hosed down an overheating engine on a quadbike... it broke.. Laughing
the whole thing pretty much welded into a big solid block. Razz

hm... Somebody messed with the carburettor causing it to run lean? running lean will cause overheating
and will eventually "pre-ignition" and break the head gasket.

Maybe it's just how they work.

I don't know how you run it, but mine, if I do 30 minutes+ of motorway at 60mph, you could feel that the engine has less power when there's a slight up hill. If you stop at service station, the engine will die at idle. Let it rest for 5-10 minutes, it all comes back to normal again.

Yea, regular oil changes helps. Every 2000km, Semi-synthetic bike oil, such as the Silkolene Super 4 10w-40.

I'm based at Leeds, might be able to come and have a look at yours.
