Long time no see all

Just finished dusting my rvf after its winter slumber, fixed a few problems but got one left i need alittle help with.

Despite having power for the lights, indicators and everything else the ignition doesnt appear to work, doesnt make any noice what so ever when the buttons pressed, the battery has loads of charge so im guessing it might be the cdi unit? am i way off the mark? ideas.....

Hi

Most likely the starter relay. You might be able to short this out to get the engine cranking over (but not on all, and be careful when doing it). Also press the starter button and while it is held down tap the relay with the handle of a screw driver which might shock it into working again.

All the best

Keith

Try bumping the bike. If it runs that's one less thing to worry about. My RF did the same and the ignition worked fine after.
Also check the side-stand light is on when it's down Wink

Kill-switch? Rolling Eyes

Could possibly be the reg/rec. As Demonic has suggested, try bump starting the bike.
