Question about log book and frame number!

If I change the frame on my zxr, can I just change the chassis number on the old log book by sending it off... or do I have to use the new log book for the new frame?

Also, would I be able to MOT my bike with no reg plate and no log book (if I cant use the old one).

Any replies are greatly appreciated.

The new frame should have come with a V5c, use that.

Yes you can get a MOT without a number place, they will use the VIN number instead. Thumbs Up

Same way they can pass you if you have no indicators? If you dont have them, they dont need to fit a certain standard.

Seems a bit of a grey area, but reckon it might even be different at different places. It may well be legal, but some MOT'ers wont want any possible backlash from it.

If the bike is registered it must have a reg plate for the MOT. Not having a plate is a reason to fail it.
