:wanted 125cc dirtbike road legal :wanted

Hi i want a road legal dirt bike as they look amazing, i like all of them and will be willing to buy any, it needs to be m.o.t'ed because i dont want them to find faults with it that i didnt know about either.

I have until september to buy one, the longer you are willing to wait possible the more i could pay.

It would have to be a large one im 6ft 1 and i like being able to see over the cars infront.

Oh and it needs to be geared, i want practise for my bike test

I'm not selling one but just a word of advice, either go for a Yamaha DT or a Kawasaki KMX, both are reliable and both are about as quick as you can get for a 125 dirt bike.

i got both the kmx an the dtx ... not sure what u mean by the fastest ... my 2 bikes are both 125s but both sooo different to each other ...

the kmx feels more like a 200 around town ... the dt goes like an 80cc till the revs get up high ... then it flies and passes the kmx! ... u really cudnt get 2 more different riding bikes. its all down to how they are "set-up". im sure other bikes cud be "set-up" just like my 2 are. it deoends on your preferred riding style and i like the way my kmx goes more than i do the dt!.

I was just merely giving him advice on what in my opinion are the 2 best 125 enduro's that fit the bill for the what he wants, all i said is they are both quick and reliable i said nothing about 'fastest' nor did i say anything about how they were set up.

What things do you prefer about the KMX to the DT, ive only ridden a KMX for a few mins off-road so ive never had the chance to really compare the 2.

And i know what your talking about when you say about the DT is good when the revs are up high, you really do know about it when that power valve opens , you get a nice pull from the engine, does the KMX do the same.

my kmx is pretty much standard - but de-restricted ... the dt is slightly diff in that mine is the dt125x - supermoto version of the dt125r.

kmx iv taken green laning and is great ... lotsa pull from the engine at any revs ... even low down, but with a bit more tug above 8000rpm.

the dt is bit gutless at low- medium revs (these newer ones dont have a rev counter so cant tell what revs the power band is at)...but at higher revs its got more pull than the kmx.

all iv done to the dt is made sure the powervalve is hooked up and working as it shud, taken off the nice lookin but hopeless dep pipe ... put on an early (de-restricted) front yam origianl pipe and a fresco rear pipe - this makes it more rideable in town.

the kmx has a broader spread of useable power, my dt even with the original yam pipe instead of the dep is still a bit "peaky" - great on A roads with not much traffic - u can rev it hard and it goes really nice, but hard work in town traffic. the kmx is other way around in town, but it also pulls well on the open road - even with someone on the back.

i prefer the supermoto look of the dtx, but much prefer the way the kmx rides!

Thanks both of you i think i am going to get a kmx i like the way you described it sound just for me, but what about the aprilia rx? Why does no1 talk about that is it any good?
