I don't mind doing bits and pieces but for me the above are things to be done by someone who knows what they are doing.

Ball park figure on how much this will set me back? Working on a £50 ph rate, worst case scenario?

Friggin link has split just as MOT has expired, typical. Last year my rear tyre was literally just out and failed.

Cheers

...don't give me no 'do it yourself', because it's not happening.

£110 for C&S, £100 for valve clearance check, another £100 for adjustment more than likely. £50 if that for carb sync'd.

For a zr-7s, yes?

C&S between £65-110 depending on what kit you go for. Have a chain riveter? If not, about £40 for one that will do the job but won't be the 'best' tool. Needs a torque wrench with correct sized socket also for the front sprocket. Or even an impact driver for loosening the front sprocket. They can be a reet pain in the arse.

Carb syncing, it's a parallel twin, yes? Gauges can be had for about £20-30 for the most basic kit probably. Try and borrow some, it's not like you need to do it very often.

Valve clearances - Well, budget for a replacement valve cover gasket just incase, but all that is needed outside the most basic of tool kits if feeler gauges. That is, if, they don't need adjusting. If they do, expect £3 a shim and a fair bit more work. Not hard to do so long as you buy a Haynes and understand the process in how to do it.

ROFL Very Happy

I was thinking of having some of that stuff checked/done at a garage too, but at those sorts of prices I think I'll give it a go myself too.

We would have done that for £160, plus another hours labour at £35 + price of shims if they needed adjustment. Thumbs Up
