 |
|
hi all,
for the part couple of months ive been rebuiliding my mito engine..
therse are the aprts ive done
Barrol
piston
rings
big end bearing
btoom end with crank
crank baalanced and trued
new main crank bearings
now i put in it to the bike 2 days ago and yesterday i had a friend come over to help me out to get it running etc..
well we put everything on (apart from fairings of corse) and all it does is relentlessly turn over and keepts shooting flames from the exhaust and backfire alot! and slowly spew blue 2st out of the exhaust...
now on assemblyi s used quite abiit of 2st oil to assemble all the parts wet....i fear ive used to much we tried throwing petrol in to the top of the head.....nothing but a huge backfire
now weve checked the spark and that is perfect and very bright (running the iridium plug) and there seems to be gettting fueel to the engine as there is a faint smell on the plug (but mostly 2st oil).
now another thing is when we take the plug out after cranking a while 99% of the time there is blue smoke comming out of the plug hole.
the engine only fires once ina while but there is more exhaust activity than engine activity.
any ideas before i get on with it today? as i realy want this working by tommrow as i have an MOT thurs
thanks all ____________________ You won't be able to eat my dust......As it'll settle before you get there. |

just keep going. it'll fire more often as the oil is got rid of.
the stator plate is fixed, you cant adjust it without modifying the holes. ____________________ Blue_SV650S wrote: it was a sh1te wheelie, but it proves that he can get it up in 3rd and can do angles. hi all,
got it sorted...
MY fault enterily.
turns out i put the pickup 25% out of posstion , i was sitting there for ages glaring at it an dit came to me ad the pickup wires dident look like they were routed propely.
anyway..now starts 1st time on the button...and ive set the balancer shaft up...but its still a bit vibratish even with it setup?
could it be im going to hhave to take my flywheel off again and try diferent firing points?
thanks ____________________ You won't be able to eat my dust......As it'll settle before you get there. |

BIG SLAPS ALL ROUND
Glad you got it sorted. If you have vibration, its an indicatin of something not balanced. if the ballencer shafts are set up properly, then it may well be crank, flwheel, clutch, basically anything that rotates!
I have it on my AR, cant be arsed to sort it, and it gives a good arse massage when flying along at 80 |
