Today on the way to work im cruising along in my car (Honda Civic Type R)when some @rse in a shiny BMW 330 ci decides to cut me up almost taking my front bumper off. I sound the horn and he then proceeds to gesticulate at me calling me a w@nker.
He then drops a gear and floors it. Now call me childish, but i thought "nah f*** you BMW boy, you aint getting away that easily", and decide to follow after him.
So he's flooring it, and im flooring it, and low-and-behold im gaining on him - significantly. So much so that i have to ease off the accerator before driving up his exhaust pipe.
BMW boy is by now beginning to panic, staring into his rear view mirror wondering why his 3.0 ltr £30,000 230bhp flashy car is being caught up by my little £15,000 car. You can tell he is panicking because he starts to wave across the road, whilst staring into his mirror, and a big plume of black smoke shoots from his exhaust as he is franticly trying to change gear as fast and as hard as he can.
Next thing whilst staring into the rear view mirror with a look of horror, he swerves over the white line towards the central reservation, and kicks up a big dusty / stoney cloud which proceeds to take a chunk out of my front windscreen. @rse !!!!!!!!!!!!
Suppose you could say that its my fault for chasing after him, but why on earth do these BMW to$$ers think they can bully people out of the way, cut people up and basically rule the road.
The chip on the window was almost worth it to see the look on panic in his rear mirror as i gained on him with a big cheesy grin on my face. Hopefully he will have gained at least a little more respect for the 'Type R' brand. |

Heh, I had a funny encounter with a BMW. Was a new shiny one, no idea what model.
Anyway I was behind the BMW and there was a car in front. The car in front turned and the road was narrow so we had to stop.
I then pulled out to the right to overtake once we started moving again, however Mr BMW didn't want me to and tried to accelerate off.
Mr BMW then got owned by a tatty £600 bike. Nothing fantastic, but it made me feel good, and I bet the driver was annoyed. ____________________ TT600 neeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeowwww! |

Oh yeh that is the daddy when that happens, my bike may be shite, only have one wing mirror and be worth 1400 quid and runs like a dog atm. However i do love cruising behind people at 40 at about 6k, slowing down, dropping a gear and thumping past on duallies. They try and keep up... and fail.
And from lights..... ooooooooooooooh so much fun, you see the wheels go mad in the corner of your eye and you hear them wheelspin (nova boys etc) and then they are gone, poof somewhere far behind you. Plus to add some style i always do it with a little wheel float. Such fun. Had a car today, woulda killed me had the noise of my bike dropping a gear or two prior to an overtake woken him up to my presence and made him swing back in bless him. I mean its only a 350, but its got a trails engine in it Quite loud, and 0-60 of about 6 seconds. Cages stand no chance on duallies. ____________________ China traffic/travel bike vid - When I make a sweeping statement, please add the word 'statistically' in to the sentence before you bitch...

Praise the Lord! I was beginning to think that it was just me that had trouble with BMW's. It seems somedays that every other car is a BMW and I reckon 1 in 20 of the people who drive them are half decent drivers. The rest.......??
My daily motorcycling is usually 12 miles of filtering! The arrogance of these drivers is breathaking. If they see a bike they purposely block your way! The car attracts a certain type of person and driving ain't one of their strong points! ____________________ Using a mobile phone while driving a car should be made a capital offence! |

Interesting...
It appears that it's the 'working class' that actually have issues with branding a typical BMW driver, just that - a typical BMW driver.
Quite frankly, I couldn't give a toss about what brand the car is displaying, it's the driving experience that's the winner. (along with many other variables, such as reliability, quality, efficientcy, dealership service etc)
BMW work hard and invest masses of monies into the developement of their products and it shows. I don't think it's fair that every BMW driver should be branded in a similar fashion as to those who've chosen the car they've chosen just for the brand. How owuld you like to be branded a "manic to society" for those odd one or two knob-less motrcycle riders? It's something narrowminded folks amongst us get stuck into and can't get out of the habit.
The 330ci is a cheap mans M3, was most likely actually an Automatic and with the black smoke shit - a diesel too. Chances are the lane change was also on inpulse, resulting in you being cut-up.
0-60 the Civic Type-R would keep up without any trouble due to the power-to-weight ratio advantage, but above 100mph the torqueless motor in the Civic would struggle. |
