for commuting do you really need a sports bike?
nothing against them, prefer them infact.
I use a GS500 for commuting, cheap to repair and maintain, then use an R6 for weekends and fun.
Even a CB400 SF would be a good fun commuter
also if you arent too fussy, the Hyosung GT650/650R are pretty nice, fast-ish big bikes in sporty or naked |

Big Aprilias tend to be very well made, the electrics were a bit iffy at times though and for the love of god, do not let the battery get low
My Futura was a bit big for really tight car park manoeuvres but otherwise was fine in town traffic, it was a little softer on the power delivery and quite a bit less extreme a riding position though.
I must add, my GS500 copes with NSL dual carriage ways just fine as long as I'm prepared to sit at 70, wet windy weather can be a bit miserable though. ____________________ 2010 Triumph 1050 Sprint ST |

I would stay away from the busa unless you liked being cramped. I'm 6'3 and it felt really cramped. The blade is fairly good, although it is still cramped up, it's not uncomfortable.
Also dont buy the blade with the silly fairings (05/06 i think) Get the 07, i did. ____________________ One day i will rule the world, just not today. |

Different people, different opinions. In the end you have to make up your own mind by riding any bike yourself to choose.
Problem is you never test ride a bike long enough to find all the faults.
I'd bought a Goldwing before I discovered the auto volume control of the stereo was crap over 90mph ____________________ Triumph Trophy Launch Edition |

My RSV https://www.bikechatforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=172618&highlight=rsv
She is an 03 RSV-R, the gold wheels are not to everyone's taste.. I'm selling up soon and getting a Street Triple, it's been a great bike in the short time I've owned her! ____________________ Honda SFX50 > Aprilia SR125 > Aprilia RS125 > Honda RFV400 > K4 GSXR600 > KTM Duke > C1H 636 > K3 GSXR1000 > Aprilia RSV-R > Triumph Street Triple R > Ducati 899 Panigale > Aprilia Tuono 1100 > Triumph Daytona 675R > KTM SuperDuke 1290 2.0 |
