hi guys

newbie here ok i have a 1995 yamaha sr 125 and today on the way to work everything was fine then loss of power and but stuttery then was fine again every now and then lack off power off the start and back fires feels like will cut out keep revs up slightly and its fine but again stutters abit

any suggestions

Sounds like the engines not getting enough fuel, my one used to do this...
Check you've got some in the tank lol, if thats the case your carburettor could be clogged.

got full tank of fuel filled up when it started doing it but it carried on doing it got carb off at mo full off fuel all in air filter think its where it been backfireing

Check battery mounts are tight, mine used to become undone every now and then.
This caused the battery to disconnect and thus it would die each time I braked and the battery lurched forward.


Easy thing to eliminate Thumbs Up

ok checked the battery that was fine i took out spark plug and was very sooty cleaned it up seems to be running ok not perfect still bit humpty dary manual says this means its running rich what do i need to do

no choke is fine choke has self retract on it

He means it has a mechanical choke that flicks off when you rev. I had a fantic that did this.

Have you checked the float height? It may need adjusting or the valve may be sticking open at times.
