I've been using cash a lot more recently and my trip to the supermarket today was not an exception. I handed over £100 to pay £81.xx.

Picture my delight when the border-line special needs case handed me my reciept and said "Is that right, I think I made a mistake."

"No, no, that's fine" I said and put my £29.xx change in my pocket. Every little helps Thumbs Up Very Happy

A while back I went to Halfrauds to buy a few car parts and thought I get the professional socket set (the one thats always reduced to £99). I waited at the parts desk and they brought the socket set to me apologising that it was still in the cardboard box (apparently they usually sell them in their plastic case with a sleeve on). I picked up the box and the assorted skoda parts and made my way to the till. I paid the young lass on the till and made my way home. On the way back I thought "did she say £134 or £34???" got home to find that she hadn't scanned the toolbox in. She must've thought it was a car part and assumed it was on the slip of paper from the parts desk.

I've had some freebies from those self service tills.
If something doesn't scan on the third attempt its going in the bag anyway, I've tried my best.
