Im sure we've all done things that in hindsight were particularly stupid, the sort of thing that seems like a great idea at the time but when looking back really wasnt worth the risk, whats the stupidest/most dangerest thing you've done that really wasnt worth it?

I'll start.

So recently myself, the_godfather (neil) off 'ere, and a couple of other mates went to cornwall to visit a friend, while we were there we went to a beach, when the tide is in there is no sand at all, as the sea goes out more and more beach becomes avaliable, when the sea is right out you can get around the cliff to another beach type area which is only there for a few hours every day.
We arrived about 2 hours after high tide, about half of the main beach was accessable but to get onto the other beach we would have to wait for a few more hours, i decided to take my friends up to the top of the cliff so i could show them the other beach, from the main beach up to the cliff is easy, there are stairs for that bit.
Anyway, when we were at the top we could see down to the beach, myself and neil decided in all our youth and ignorance that we couldnt be bothered to wait for the tide to go out far enough, so climbed down the face of the cliff, it seemed like a great idea at the time, but looking back, the face is about 15+ meters high, the rock is crap and crumbly, and if we had fallen there would be no way for the emergency services to get to us, just to give an example of how crap the rock was, when neil tryed finding a different route back up, a square foot bit of rock fell from under his foot and he was left almost stranded, 10 meters up a cliff face.
So looking back its definetly a risk i wouldnt take again.

Us climbing (im the closest one in the picture)

A view from the top, the sea comes onto the beach from both directions.

Karma to the person who guesses what beach it was too Thumbs Up.

home made tent peg launcher...

tent pole pulled apart and two ends jammed into the floor leaving the elastic nice and tight.

Hook on tent peg, pull back, fire.

Accidently hit a guy in the head....

To this day everytime it's mentioned we laugh, a lot. usually uncontrollably.

I'm a bastard. Laughing

my ears "popped" when I rode over some hills the other day, so I opened my flipface helmet, held my nose with my left hand and blew. On hindsight this was dumb. Embarassed My ears didn't 'de-pop' and my balance was impaired.

The only things I cringe at myself for are mostly things that I've said to people during my school years as I was a cheeky bastard, believe it or not. Other than that, fuck it, no regrets.

was riding a pushbike down an unbelievably steep hill. my mate came past me and i thought " im not having him go faster than me" and so i attempted to pedle. whilst doing about 45mph..... as you probably know, trying to pedle on a pushbike when its going really fast, there is no tention at all and your feet generally come off, and you hit the handlebars.

next thing i know im laying 20 metres or so down a road and my bike had flipped over a fence a good halway down the road.

anyway, 5 days later, with various scans and test. i was released from hospital 2 skull fractures, lots of muscle damage and some nasty cuts.

good times Laughing (dont think i rode a pushbike ever again after that)

I had a peuguet racing bicycle when I was a kid, and took it up to High Down hill near Durrington, and peddalled as fast as I could in top gear until the chain went slack, and then held on. Speed wobbles, my speedo (dunno how accurate it was) was reading 55mph, had a little wheel that connected to the bicycle wheel rim melted. Laughing

Going fast on a pedal bike is lethal, I used to get to 38mph down some nice hills but thinking back I never used to wear any safety gear what so ever Laughing Last time I came off was at low speed and I ended up breaking my wrist. Didn't realise for a good 20 minutes after though until it hurt like fuck Shocked

Yesterday I was bombing down country lanes on my DT and nearly shit bricks when I misjudged a corner... DTR brakes are terrible, I think my boxers and pants went up my arse a bit while braking from 70 to 20mph Thumbs Up
