Hi all Thumbs Up

I'm working just outside Moreton-in-Marsh for the next week and I'm going to take the ol' CBR up there so I can go out and explore of an evening.

Any recommendations of good roads, good sights to see and good photoshoot locations in the area?

Also, pubs in Moreton-in-Marsh - where's good for ale and steak? Very Happy

Cheers Smile

We actually passed through Moreton-in-Marsh on our trip to Cornwall a few weeks ago. We were traveling along the A429/B4455 Fosse Way which is an old Roman road which originally went from Lincoln to Exeter.

It looks very straight on the map but that A429 is actually a really cool road to ride. There are straights punctuated by light bends. I found it the perfect compromise between progress and fun. We saw lots of bikes on this section.

If you head south on the A429 to a place called Fossebridge there is a steep descent which curves around to meet a bridge at the bottom of a valley then goes back up at the other side.

If you want to go further afield I found the A426 which starts in Southam and goes all the way into Leicester a nice road to ride.

hi there......

If travelling by car it will take 1-2 hours to reach the Cotswolds from London, using well signposted major roads. The M4 and M40 motorways provide easy access from London....It is possible to hire a car in larger towns in and around the Cotswolds. The average cost of hire is from about £60 per day....One well established route through the Cotswolds is the Cheltenham based ‘Romantic Road’, which has its own section on this site.Driving shouldn’t be too much of a challenge in this mainly rural area, especially as in England we also drive on the left hand side of the road. To encourage you, here are some points to consider!
