Hi

For me "Other" for 2 strokes. Something which has adequate low down power and then an eagernes at higher revs. With a nice step in the delivery being fun.

Flat spots on 4 strokes annoy me far more than on 2 strokes for some reason.

After owning 6 IL4's, I got me a V twin. Im converted.

IL4's seem so flat and boring in comparison now!

And that noise, a pair of boom boxes on a V twin at full chat, bwaaaaaaaaaaaaaap, bwaaaaaaaaaaaap bwaaaap.

Quite possibly the horniest sound ever.

Got to be a V-Twin but sports, not the chugging chunks of shit Harleys. When an RSV comes past it really does make me go weak at the knees.

I think it is just the deep note that it makes especially with a open can. Sounds like absolute monster power and like if it could it would suck the tarmac off the road and throw it at you in massive chunks.

Riding the GT around with the Scorpion on it, I am just smiling all the bloody time, even after a massive arguement with someone, or a bad day at work, when I sit astride it and start it up I just smile and relax, then coming into a NSL pulling it back and hearing the engine note go from a 'Quiet' Burble to an almighty growl it makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up.

Wow is anyone else hot in here or is it me.

Only had singles and inline-4s. Prefer the singles for sure. Bikes need some 'rawness' to them.

Tough question to answer really as i`ve loved all my bikes in one way or another whilst i owned them.

The banshee-like wailing of an IL4
The rolling thunder from a litre v-twin

It`s all good
(but if i had to choose just 1.....it`d have to be a sports v-twin)

Next year i`m gonna try a triple.....and i`ll probably love that too.

always loved the wail of v4s, I blame the vmax for that but im a major fan of the thrashability of il4s, which is why I tend to stick to them, I suppose in that respect id love one of those new big bang R1 lumps, but Im not a fan of cdis, fuel injection and water cooling.

im also a fan of 2 stroke power delivery, triples and the z13 (il6).

Voted V4, as possibly the best sounding bike engine is the RD500LC. IL4's are only good if they are air cooled and as large as possible.

I'd take a single over a V-twin or parallel twin just, but i do like the sound of 360deg IL2's like a triumph Bonnie. Sounds so much better than a GPZ500 engine for example!
