Hmm recent issue cropped up on the rs, when pulling up to lights/junctions/drive way the bike will idle at around 3k revs and after a while will drop back down to 1,5k.

If I slowly release the clutch to the biting point while in gear and then pull it back in again then this will cause the revs to drop back to 1.5k again.

Any ideas?

my gs has done that for ages, tbh i do exactly the same, get in gear, clutch out, revs drop..
i let the bike warm up, no knocking noises anywhere, idle is set to 1600rpm.. yet it jumps to 3/3.5k at lights etc when warm...
Strange a few people are having the same issue Sad

Can means loads some people say a dragging clutch
others which seems more likely on a tuned 2 smoke is its running slightly lean, so as your letting off the power its getting less fuel and more air to fuel makes a bike rev higher.

Have done plug chops and they be fine if not looking a little like its running slightly rich.

So this dragging clutch issue, what is it exactly and how could I test for it?
