 |
|
Im so happy, I've been waiting for around a month for them to get it in for me and I finally got to pick it up Today!
Its a 2009 CBR1000RR in Repsol colours and I love it! It turns in so well, handles like its on rails, its so stable, and even when running it in on half throttle at around 7,000rpm it feels very fast, can't wait until the 600 mile's is up and I can start using it properly! The brakes are amazing aswell, so responsive!
I love this bike! Ill post some pictures Tomorrow |

No thanks.
1. if it really was that good, it would be recommended by manufacturers.
2. and i quote "How can such a small amount of spring tension seal against thousands of
PSI (Pounds Per Square Inch) of combustion pressure ?? "
he thinks there are thousands of psi in a combustion chamber.
3. whilst it is true piston rings stop oil from getting into the combustion chamber, they also provide the main seal.
4. " If the gas pressure is strong enough during the engine's first miles of operation (open that throttle !!!), then the entire ring will wear into
the cylinder surface, to seal the combustion pressure as well as possible. "
I don't want excess wear on my bore thanks. |

Allymoss (and Polarbear)
1. So you think the manufacturer's legal people would be happy to sell a litre bike capable of 186mph in the US where they can often ride one with no training at all with the following in the manual...
Take each gear through the rev range to the red line, avoid using brakes and use the engine braking affect instead.
Think of the law suits .
2. How much is there then, out of interest. Not talking compression testing with a compression tester, but when there's an explosion and the like? (Really don't know, thus the question.)
Oh and Polarbear, they spend millions on R&D to win races, from which they sell bikes... which usually have some flat that needs a recall anyway .
I did a fair bit of research before taking delivery of a new bike and the conclusion I came to was people using the manufacturers method had to replace piston rings sooner and were often a little down on power. |

Been giving it a bit more throttle today and its seriously fast!
Handles amazingly aswell, I hate these Bridgestone BT015's that are on it though, they have no feel to them and there not very grippy so Im going to get some Super Corsas or BT002RS's, then I can start riding it properly!
Overall I love it though |
