Hello, i recently purchased a Honda cg125 (1993) the previous owner had problems with the carb (always running on half choke) - i messed about with the idle screws for a while with no success then stupidly decided to remove the chamber from top of the carb now i can't get the bike to fire up. anyone any suggestions ??? thanks |

any money you've put the slide in backwards, take the top off, twist it 180 degrees (line the groove in the slide up with a little bump in the carb body) then put it back in, basically you've made it go wide open throttle ____________________ '84 TS50X, '91 TZR125, '89 CBR400RR, '91 VFR400R NC30, '98 R1

Trust me Blue, you can do it because it did exactly the same thing on mine and if you turn the slide 360 degrees itll end up in the same place with the same problem XD ____________________ '84 TS50X, '91 TZR125, '89 CBR400RR, '91 VFR400R NC30, '98 R1

Gah, WHAT IDIOT WOULD RUN THEIR CG ON HALF CHOKE?!
Definitely clean up that carb with some well deserved TLC. I shouldn't get angry about what is unsurprisingly a mistreated learner bike but the RSPCCG has responsibilities to maintain. ____________________ will never give up his CG. I look at my fuel gauge more as a progress bar than a fuel gauge.
G: With my GSXR I do often effectively use it as a scooter with a clutch in town.
ms51ves3: why does it need 500 miles? Are you teaching it how to be a piston? |
