 |
|
Hi,
I have just been and fitted some new grips to my 125 (heated ones ) and the throttle no longer returns to idle. It seems the grip is a little too tight on the plastic sleeve underneith and sticking it to the bar?
Pic of the sleeve thingy

Does anyone know a way round this?

Hi,
Thanks for the help
Turns out they are fractionally smaller then the previous, and were running on the end of the bar. I didnt cut the end off, just didnt push it right up to the switch gear. It now springs back correctly
Also put a bit of WD40 between the bar and sleeve to help things out a bit.
Thanks for the help, saved me a 30+ mile trip to take them back

I was in 2 minds to keep it as cruise control, i mainly ride A roads so would work. I was just worried id forget and leave it a full throttle or redline/valve bounce the engine. All works now, so it'll only redline when i tell it to ____________________ Eat well, poo hard

cruise control is damn useful once your used to it, all my bikes have the grips pushed up to friction with the switchgear for exactly that reason, takes all of 10 seconds to slide them back out a bit so it snaps shut for MOT.
Cheers
