Sounds dodgey to me mate. Im no expert though.
I would not trust giving him your bank details. Cash only id say. If he's not sure he's got room, why buy it, other than to get your details.
Hope you get it sorted mate ____________________ Eat well, poo hard

TBH, chances are he is genuine.
Although if you're uneasy about it, use Paypal.
Yes you'll get clobbered with fees, but it gives you some protection.
I don't think he can withdraw any money from your account with the details he needs, only pay stuff in. I've paid for stuff by bank transfer before.
Personally talk to the guy, but with the pound vs euro the way it is at the moment, buyers from Europe are becoming more and more common. ____________________ My Flickr |

To me it sounds legit.
Plenty of Europeans are taking advantage of the weak pound and buying up our bikes in bulk. Let's face it, you'd need a bloody big van to get a VTX and 3 other bikes in.
If you speak to your bank they should be able to give you your IBAN & Swiftbic number (I presume personal accounts have these, someone might correct me if I'm wrong). The only thing you can do with those numbers is pay money in.
Usually scammers will use phrases such as 'transport company', 'Western Union' or sending you a larger than asking price cheque. They usually ask what your 'last price' is, is the bike in good condition (even when you've spent three hours writing a full appraisal of the bike ).
If you feel uncomfortable about any part of the transaction walk away, but from the limited info I would probably continue. ____________________ Current: ZZR1400

Go for it.
Someone bought my old car from Manchester, paid the money via bank transfer, came down and picked it up
My parents were VERY sceptical though ____________________ Previous Bike: ZXR 400

IMO bank transfer is safer to use than Paypal when selling. I'm a Powerseller on eBay, and know all too well that sellers lose out all the time to Paypal's absurd buyer protection programme.
There's no way he could get funds back from your bank account if paid through bank transfer, but if paid through Paypal it's very easy to get funds back for absolutely anything. ____________________ Current: ZZR1400
