Just a quick hi

Hi all,

I used to ride on L plates when 250's were learners........ so YES i am an old git lol

I last rode a bike in the early 90's, a CG125, so i'm a bit peeved that i have to do a CBT before i can get back on 2 wheels, but do it i will

I just phoned about doing it and was quoted 2 prices, 1 with my bike and 1 with theirs, how the hell am i supposed to do it on mine? do they expect me to ride it on the road without a CBT so i can train to get one??

Any one on here 6 foot tall and 17 stone with a 125? if so let me know what bike it is as that's the one i'll need

Welcome, i was around 17 stone but only 5 foot 9, however my YBR125 coped fine with the weight .

Hi, if you're bigger and want a bigger 125, consider something like a Varadero or maybe a cruiser like a Dragstar or Shadow.

Yeah, the laid back position is very much a matter of taste. It's fun for a while but I don't know if I could live with it, plus I was scraping the crap out of the pegs on every corner.

Hi and welcome!

Remember to bear in mind that you're not restricted by engine size but rather power. If you were to find a 250cc for yourself and then restrict the power back down to 11BPH you'd find you would probably have better acceleration and that most of the power would be lost on the top end.

If you are using a 125 you might want to check things like tire pressures as well, 125's aren't fantastic with weight. I'm about 11 stone and sometimes just an extra stone seems to change the performance of my bike.
