I think us here on BCF are offended by the notion we are being dangerous and need looking after! =]
Best wishes to the family of that biker.

As roughly 600 bikers die on British roads each year we would get just under 2 posts per day if we all posted when someone died.

As such we only post for those who were known to people on here.

I'm a little confused to what a call around is also, would that scenario be accurate?

I know what a reach around is.

I think the OP was talking about a Round Robin call.

Or he was posting to tell us another biker had popped his clogs and to offer his sympathy to those who may know the biker.

Or he was just fishing for gosip on dead people.

Or he killed the biker and wanted to know if anyone would miss him, if they didn't then the OP may have got away with it.

Your post is plain weird..... what a very strange thing to say! I can understand that you may be concerned, as hearing of accidents makes us all feel a bit funny, but - having a 'ring round' will not alter the fact that some poor person is dead. No offense, but stop gossiping and have some respect Thumbs Up

A call round ? How does that work ?

You : ring ring

Dave : Hello ?

You : Is that you Dave ?

Dave : Yes

You : Good, are you okay?

Dave : Err well to be honest no, I had a bike accident earlier and I'm dead now...

You : Shit so it was you!? Well at least I don't need to ring anyone else then. See ya and thanks for telling me.

Dave : No prob's see ya.

I think that we will feel this fear all of our lives long.
Death is more closer to the bikers than the others. I hate this truth.

I wish all the best to family of the dead rider.

I pootle to work on my bike, sticking to the speed limit and wearing hi vis protective kit.

I then spend 12hrs breaking into drug dens, fighting with junkies and robbers, taking knives off naughty people and driving at 90 on the wrong side of the road to get to your 'emergency' argument with your missus.

I'm more likely to die of sheer disgust after reading soppy comments like yours than I am riding to work.

*touch wood*
