GSXR 600 K3

OK trying to remove front sprocket.
need help!

https://img402.imageshack.us/img402/7123/cimg3880.jpg

Basically theres the nut that holds the sprocket, a speed sensor rotor and an allen bold that holds the rotor on. The allen bolt had rounded off so I took to the angle grinder. The speed rotor has almost dissappeared and thankfully I managed to get the hole of the allan bolt off. The nut is fine and I'm trying as hard as I can with a huge breaker bar to undo it but it wont budge.
Im sitting on the bike with the brakes on and also using a penetrating spray but no joy.

Im worried its welded itself to something? Also now the front of the bit that the nut screws onto is looking a bit mashed.
Any ideas?
Thanks!

you need to put a piece of wood or a bar through the rear wheel to lock it.

then a longer bar and some one to hole the bike so it doesn't fall over

these nuts get incredibly tight god luck.

or pop down to a tyre place or garage for an air socket wrench to remove it

Defintely an impact gun, either air or electrically powered.

Ride it round to a local mechanic type place and ask them to crack it loose with their gun. Do it back up tight with your hand tools and ride it home (a bit gently) and undo it again.

I tried a broom through the wheel which stopped the bike moving, but all my weight on the bar did nothing. I spend literally all day looking on the web and found a source that says Suzuki use a gallon of locktite there and a blowtorch will loosen it up. I was going to try this earlier but was scared about all the grease and oil catching on fire.

I burned the bastard to hell and it didnt take much before it loosened up. Luckily all the threads are ok its just the end of the thing that holds the sprocket looks a little mashed.

I need to invest in an impact wrench though

impact wrenches are cool. but not sure how much damage you have done to the nut.
scaffold pole works really well. you would be surprised how tight these things get. So far i have been fairly lucky but have heard some real horror stories.
if all else fails and you want to give up drill a line of holes in a line and split the bolt off

Oh my fucking god!

Seriously if you did that damage to the nut and shaft stop now and let a bike shop try and sort the mess you have caused. If you're lucky they might be able to save the shaft.

That is a replacement sprocket not the original.

Jeebus, just seen the pic (work blocks image hosting sites). An angle grinder should have been a last resort. I didn't realise you had done that to it.

I think it's time to let someone else have a look at it.

Laughing Overkill much? Why not cut a slot in it and use a screwdriver, or try a pair of molegrips?

Unless you know what your fucking with, keep the hell away from destrutive tools like angle grinders!
