Recommendation - Winter riding gloves.?

Hello friends..
Winter is almost here and a bad news - I have lost my winter riding gloves. Right now I only have a pair of summery riding gloves. Have no patient enough to wait for warm up. Wondering are there any winter riding gloves you guys love and would recommend?

It depends on how susceptible your hands are to the cold, and the kind of distances you travel. The most effective way to avoid the worst of the cold is to have hand guards, like trailies have, but I imagine people on plastic stuff would rather get frostbite Wink

I find a pair of cheapo gloves with thermal inners under them are fine unless it's sub-zero.

The Mrs has a pair of the Pathan 2 finger jobbies, and by the time we get anywhere my fingers are always freezing and hers are still toasty. Must get myself a pair!

The 2 finger ones are good, but some people don't get on with them.

Worth noting that if you don't keep your body warm then it doesn't matter much what you do with your hands as you body will just cut the blood supply to them to preserve your body temperature. So wrap up warm to start with.

the hein gericke 2 finger ones are meant to be good mate

i have some normal hean gericke gloves which were about £30 that have done the job so far, will see how good they are in the wet and really cold days though

Yea, when actually riding off-road it's fine anyway, but the fifty minute motorway journey either end taken at 90+* at some points has a lot more severe wind with a lot less body-generated warmth.

I second the muff things, after struggling for hours to get them on properly, my hands are now much warmer, they're still not fitted perfectly, but without cutting holes for the mirrors they're as good as they're going to get.

Twas my 690, which I've seen 108mph on a GPS... that was with pillion and panniers, severly upgeared (gearing limited to around that stock), but also with big metal fairing.

I haven’t tried those exact ones, but at a guess from seeing similar ones - ‘bone dry’, yea right.
Not too bad warmth. Probably not very good at all in a crash.

I read somewhere o here about a layer of air, so when I saw RST winter gloves in the sale I got xxl instead of xl. Working well for me for far. Pluse they come of easier without pulling the lining inside out. Plus I can get a pair of thin gloves on as well when needed without it being to tight. All good.

Im getting my Weise Grid wintergloves out now, the waterproof spada are okay but im starting to feel the cold on the end of my fingertips through the leather. The grids are about £20-30 and i have them a tad bigger in size which gives me the air gap, ive ridden in the freezing cold last feb in them and they were fine, plus they are waterproof at least so far. I picked them up last winter for £19.99.
