Anybody know of a decent place to buy copy righted images for various uses?,

In that I remember there being something called turbosquid where there was a massive collection of 3D models for people to buy and use in their productions (I probably still have a few things on turboquid meself).

But can anybody recommend an online resource where I can buy photos?, somebody like swaffs but with many many more images of varying kinds.

I don't think a small project I've been asked to do will stand up to scrutiny if I do the olde look up an obscure flickr poster and copy them and you can get done for copyright infringement with severe penalties (and not to mention this would make me a hypocrite).

Any thoughts?

Thanks.

There are lots of sites on the internet where it is possible to buy the rights to photos. On most of them you can preview a lower resolution version with a watermark before you buy. Not sure on how much you will be paying, but if you are using a photo for commercial gain I guess it is better to be safe than sorry.
