 |
|
Looking for a new keyboard for home.
Ideally I'd like a full size one using the new low-profile keys as seen on the apple keyboards. £22 is quite a lot, but still within the bounds of reason for an official apple one (it'll probably be mostly used on an apple anyway), but ideally I'd like bluetooth, which comes in at £50 and you don't even get a properly sized keyboard for that .
(Prices quoted are ebay buy-it-now prices, £28 and £55 respectively from apple.)
And, yes, I'm generally against apple; but their power leads and keyboards, I admit, are good. |

Unfortunately that's the old style with chunky buttons - mapple don't do big wireless ones with the slim buttons . |

My apologies. I tend to get the cheapest keyboard I can get my hands on as most of them get tea spilt on them at some point in their lives! ____________________ H100 Breaking for spares |

Well, I think that the price points are pretty stuck to be honest. After looking, anything that is properly slimline and wireless is going to be the same price as the apple. Might as well just go for the apple if that's what you want ____________________ will never give up his CG. I look at my fuel gauge more as a progress bar than a fuel gauge.

But I don't, I want a full-sized keyboard really.
And, sadly, the tart-anti-tart would prefer not to buy an apple product . |

As I say, I want full size and apple don't do full size wireless anyway.
While I don't mind paying a bit for a keyboard, still not sure about £50, though the hardware tends to be moderately well made and think in a bizarre commercial-stance that you can actually replace the batteries in them, so may not have to chuck it away in a year . |

the 'apple' style keyboards are not apples at all, it was first seen on the sony Vaio X505
my favourite keyboard of the moment is
https://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=KB-145-LG&groupid=702&catid=23&subcat=2
quite expensive, but a quality feel to it, and it types great and great for night time fragging, with its built in backlight!!!
ever since ive used it, ive been wanting my keyboard to die so i can replace it, but its still working ____________________ Honda CG125 BR-S 1995 + cg125 W |

cvntdude: wireless done not bluetooth, cheers for the suggestion any way.
ytrewq321: Bit more than I want to spend on a wired keyboard really, well more than I want to spend on any keyboard!
Stinkwheel: Doesn't quite meet 'short throw', further I'd have to wire up my smoke machine to it, so a bit of smoke was released everytime you typed, which would be even more hassle . |

Stink, that keyboard should have a return 'arm' not a button! That would be great!
But I agree with G (ish!!) in that Apple should produce a Full size bluetooth keyboard with the new style buttons and a multi-touch touchpad. They've mooted the idea for so long now but not done it ____________________ Love is 1050cc |

I have the logitech dinovo edge keyboard, its a great piece of kit and has no issues working in the bios when needed like some RF jobs.
Expensive but works great for a media unit as well, as it has a built in mouse. ____________________ VFR FI 2000- Shiney Red Thing
