Extreme heat or cold (within reason), a big hammer and you could even try cutting in to the sump plug to make those corners not rounded any more. then again, it's probably stupid to take my advice on this matter at this time in the morning. ____________________ will never give up his CG. ms51ves3: why does it need 500 miles? Are you teaching it how to be a piston? |

Mole grips? Or you can cut a notch through it with a Dremel and try a big flat blade screwdriver? Stud extractor? If you're not using a torque wrench, be careful when you tighten up the new plug - it's really quite easy to over-tighten and ruin the thread on the sump. Replace the washer as well or else you might get a bit of leakage. ____________________ CBT February 2008 | A2 June 2008 | Yamaha YBR125 (written off) | Honda CBF125 (current) |

Cant rate these things high enough for removing rounded bolts and nuts. Depends on the size though - sump plug might be a bit on the large side. ____________________ Harold_Shand wrote: I suppose it's like anything, you get your fingers burned when you start out, you learn from it and eventually become a complete arsehole about the whole thing. |

I'd be careful going anywhere near the sump with a hammer, it's cast ally I'd imagine, and will crack if you even look at it too hard |
