The electrics themselves are mostly all right (Unless the RSV suffered from the same weak block connectors that the RST did, but I never heard so much about that on the Millie so I suspect not), however they are pretty badly shielded and you'll find that some of the covers on the loom are more than willing to act as little water catch tanks potentially causing some sections of wire to simply rot away.
As far as Alarms go, they are generally not a problem in themselves, but letting your battery get weak on any of the millie family is a pretty big nono, not only does it need a ton of juice to get that motor started but if you do let the battery go flat regularly you risk damaging the sprag clutch.
The clocks can go a little crazy with a weak battery too.
Beyond that, great bikes ____________________ 2010 Triumph 1050 Sprint ST |

Clinical? Compared to what - an old Guzzi?
With the 65 degree V, the Rotax engine from the Mille is one of the more characterful twin engines around. It sounds awesome, is capable of unusually good low-mid range grunt and top end drive and has proven pretty reliable too.
Must disagree with Numpty though; the SP1/2 is the better bike ____________________ Current: Ducati Panigale R / Ducati Streetfighter S / Suzuki GSX-R1000 L5 |
